The official trailer of the Seo Hyun-jin and Gong Yoo starrer ‘The Trunk’ has dropped, leaving fans of both stars in anticipation and excitement of their pairing on this latest feature film from Netflix.
Seo Hyun-jin is a South Korean actress and singer who debuted as the vocalist of South Korean girl group M.I.L.K. in 2001 and has continued her entertainment venture into acting, while Gong Yoo is a highly celebrated actor who has starred in beloved TV shows and movies, such as Coffee Prince and Train to Busan.
In this Netflix movie set in the present era, the act of ‘marriage’ which had been a solid social norm is shaken by the prevalence of divorce and choosing not to be married. A new task begins for In-ji (Seo Hyun-jin) who is an employee of a marriage service company that secretly provides customized spouse services. She needs to live together as a one-year contract-wife with Jeong-won (Gong Yoo), a music producer and a highborn heir. Jeong-won thought that an obedient AI-like woman of his taste would be assigned as his wife, but everything about In-ji surprises him. In-ji finds out that the person who requested her marriage service was the ex-wife of Jeong-won.

Fans of the two Korean actors took to social media to express their excitement over the film, and over their idols starring in their respective roles.
“Honestly, I don’t care what’s in that trunk. You could put me in that trunk as long as there is WiFi and I can stream this show. I only care that Gong Yoo and Seo Hyun-jin will be on screen together,” one commenter wrote. Another commented, “Two extraordinary Korean actors!! I’m waiting for it on Netflix.”
On a previously posted teaser of the The Trunk, fans commended the apparent chemistry of the two actors. “This one will be crazy! Gong Yoo and Seo Hyun Jin will make a history,” one wrote. Another commented, “can’t wait for the drama and their intense chemistry that will literally blow us away!”
The Trunk is coming November 29, only on Netflix.
