In celebration of Global Cat Day on October 16, Hard Rock Cafe Manila hosted an informative and engaging seminar on cat awareness, behavior, adoption, and welfare. The event, held from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, brought together expert veterinarians and feline advocates to share valuable insights on how to care for our beloved cats.
The free seminar covered a variety of important topics, including the health of cats and kittens, proper diet and nutrition, grooming techniques, and ways to help stray cats. Attendees gained practical knowledge on fostering a better understanding of feline needs and welfare.
Special guest speakers included Dr. Apol Guimpayan of Makati Animal Medical Center Inc., who discussed the health of cats and kittens; Dr. Ariel Poliquit from Zoetis PH, who shared insights on cat behavior; Dr. Joan Lumabiang, who spoke about the different types of cats and their unique coats and colors; grooming expert Ms. Lala Ursal; and Ms. Rina Ortiz from Biyaya Animal Care, who gave a talk on helping and saving stray cats. Dr. Tat Reano of Broadchem Philippines Biopharma Corporation rounded off the seminar with an informative session on core vaccinations, deworming, and the importance of spaying and neutering.
It was a heartwarming afternoon of learning, connection, and celebration of all things feline. Participants had the opportunity to meet fellow cat owners and enthusiasts while deepening their understanding of how to ensure a happy, healthy life for their furry companions.

The Bistro Group, which includes Hard Rock Cafe, is a strong advocate for animal welfare through its Bistro Fur Friends initiative. This movement is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and finding loving homes for disadvantaged dogs and cats.
