Focus Global Inc., the official distributor of Miele appliances in the Philippines, brings back the Miele Innovation Series with an exclusive collaboration featuring award-winning chef, Chele González.

At the heart of this collaboration is a shared spirit of exploration—looking at the familiar in a new way and discovering what more it can become. For this edition, Chef Chele draws from his Spanish roots, his creative approach to cooking, and Miele’s German heritage to transform familiar ingredients into something unexpected.

Chef Chele’s culinary journey began with his studies in Bilbao, followed by years of honing his craft in some of Spain’s most renowned restaurants. He eventually made the Philippines his home, where he has built a celebrated career inspired by the country’s diverse ingredients and culinary traditions.
His work has earned both local and international recognition, with Gallery by Chele and Asador Alfonso each receiving one MICHELIN Star in the inaugural MICHELIN Guide Philippines 2025, while Gallery by Chele also earned the country’s only MICHELIN Green Star.
Chef Chele’s career goes beyond the kitchen. Over the years, he has taken on different roles as a marketer, DJ, chef, and entrepreneur, while also developing new culinary concepts such as Burnt Basque Cheesecake by Chele. His diverse career reflects his willingness to keep reinventing himself and exploring new ideas.

This same spirit defines the Miele Innovation Series, which brings together inspiring talents to discover new possibilities through their craft. By looking beyond the familiar and embracing new perspectives, the series reflects Miele’s enduring philosophy of “Immer Besser,” or “Forever Better”—a pursuit of continuous improvement that has guided the brand for more than 125 years.
For the pop-up collaboration, Chef Chele puts his own spin on familiar favorites through four creations made exclusively for Miele:
Dark Beer & Pretzel Cheesecake
Combining Chef Chele’s Burnt Basque Cheesecake recipe and Miele’s German roots, this creation puts a playful twist on a beloved dessert. Dark beer brings rich, malty notes to the creamy cheesecake, while the pretzel crumble adds a salty contrast—all baked directly in its own packaging to create a distinctive interpretation of one of Chef Chele’s most personal recipes.
Components:
Cerveza Negra
Pretzel crumble base
Miele Chocolate Shortbread
A delicate balance of sweet and savory, this innovative, out-of-the-box creation features an almond sablée layered with 77% dark chocolate from Auro. Hidden within is caramelized German sausage, adding a savory and salty element that changes the way the dessert is experienced.
Components:
Almond sablée base
Auro 77% dark chocolate
Caramelized sausage
Silky toffee
Coffee & Honeycomb Cheesecake
Inspired by Miele’s coffee machines and the signature drum design of its washing machines, Chef Chele puts his own spin on the traditional German cheesecake with Philippine coffee and honeycomb. The coffee cheesecake is paired with crunchy honeycomb, bringing a fresh contrast of texture while adding a distinctly local touch to this classic dessert.
Components:
Coffee cheesecake
Artisanal honeycomb
Pastrami Sauerkraut Flatbread
Inspired by coca, a traditional Spanish flatbread, Chef Chele brings a taste of his Spanish roots to the collection. The fermented bread is topped with his signature New York-style pastrami, then topped with sauerkraut, cheese, and fresh herbs for a fresh take on the Catalan classic.
Components:
Slow-fermented bread
Signature pastrami
