First Love is Never Returned have released their latest single “Good Morning,” written as the theme song for Good! Morning on TV Asahi — a weekday morning program that in 2025 achieved the highest audience ratings in its 7 AM time slot among all Japanese broadcasters.

Inspired by the quiet, everyday rhythms of mornings at home, “Good Morning” reflects the small but meaningful moments that shape daily life. Built around a bright and refreshing pop sound, the track also draws from vocalist and songwriter Kazuki Ishida’s musical background, including his experience studying vocal performance in New York.
While created specifically for the program, the song remains rooted in the band’s signature storytelling — portraying daily life not simply as optimistic, but through the relatable perspective of ordinary mornings and the emotions that accompany them.
The accompanying music video brings this atmosphere to life visually. The project reunites the band with producer Yosuke Yamaguchi (koe Inc.), while rising filmmaker Ao Inoue directs the video for the first time.
2026 Tour: “LEAP OUT”
Coinciding with the release, First Love is Never Returned will embark on their #FLiNR S/S TOUR 2026 “LEAP OUT”, beginning this April.
Emerging from Japan’s live house scene — where bands often share the stage — the band designed the tour to highlight the collaborative spirit of the scene through special co-headline shows.
Tour dates include:
- 17th April – Tokyo, Shibuya WWW (with BIGMAMA)
- 26th April – Sapporo, cube garden (with Rol3ert)
- 24th May – Osaka, Music Club JANUS (with NIKO NIKO TAN TAN)
The tour will culminate in the band’s largest headline show to date at Shibuya CLUB QUATTRO in Tokyo on 24th July, marking a milestone performance dedicated to expressing gratitude to fans while looking ahead to the band’s future.
Tickets for the two-man shows are currently on general sale, while lottery pre-orders for the final one-man concert are now underway.
