Today, indie-rock singer, songwriter, and producer YONAH returns with his evocative new single, “Holler,” alongside the announcement of his debut album, Bird of Miracles, releasing April 24th. Following recent singles like “Desert Horse” and “Showdown,” “Holler” offers a further glimpse into the depth and vulnerability that define the forthcoming record.

| Carried by YONAH’s soul-stirring vocals, “Holler” unfolds with quiet emotional urgency, tracing a nostalgic path through early memories. “It’s really a snapshot of my childhood, from the house I grew up in, to my first love, to the first time I became aware of my depression and trauma,” he shares. “But more than anything, it’s about connection, and learning to respect the experiences that shaped who I am.” Created with producer Harper James (Hudson Freeman, Eighty Ninety, Aaron Taos) Bird of Miracles marks YONAH’s most personal project to date. Named after the Hebrew meaning of his full birth name, “Yonah Nissim” (“dove of miracles”), the album serves as both a tribute to his late father and a meditation on identity. Across the record’s 11 tracks, he navigates growth, religion, rebellion, and reconciliation, ultimately landing in a space of acceptance and gratitude. Born and raised on Manhattan’s Upper West Side and now based in Brooklyn, YONAH (Yonah Taragin) makes music that feels both deeply personal and quietly expansive, with stories shaped by loss, faith, and the messy process of becoming. Influenced by artists like Elliott Smith, Adrianne Lenker, Courtney Barnett, and Beck, he blends raw lyricism with an experimental indie edge. Following the release of his EPs The House of Damage (2025) and Love So Good (2023), he has steadily built a presence in New York’s live scene, with performances at Nublu, City Winery, and Pete’s Candy Store. With his forthcoming LP, Bird of Miracles, YONAH steps into a new chapter, one that fully realizes his voice as a songwriter and storyteller, and signals the arrival of an artist coming into his own.
